Delegates were given copies of the balance sheet and Les noted that after deduction of tournament expenses the balance should be around the $4,000 mark. Moved Les Stuart, seconded Dave Hercus that the Treasurer’s report be accepted. CARRIED

AGM. Les reminded the meeting that only delegates may vote at the AGM, following consultation with their members as to whom they wish to be on the Executive. Delegates were provided with nomination forms, the closing date for which is 30 November 2011.

Price Increase. Les stated that the cost of bowling at Hastings had been raised from the original quote, but after discussion with centre management, a compromise had been reached. Prices for 2012 have been obtained: Porirua – confirmed; Waitakere – confirmed; Rotorua – probably still $5 per game. However, it is highly likely that costs will rise in 2013. There will probably also be an increase for medals. Les moved and Chris Clare seconded that costs be held for 2012, but be reviewed for 2013. CARRIED

2012 Tournaments. February – Waitakere; June – Porirua; September – Rotorua.

2013 Tournaments. Les moved and Dave Hercus seconded that tournaments be held at the following centres: Christchurch - March; Panmure - June; Kapiti – September.

Rotorua 2012. Chris Clare advised that the tournament will be held 13-16 September (four days). Cost of bowling ($5 per game) to be confirmed in writing.

Lorraine Heath said her members had expressed concern at playing on the same lanes all the time. She was advised that this is difficult to avoid, but every endeavour will be made to avoid this if possible.

Waitakere. Lorraine Heath outlined details for the tournament. Theme – Masks. The AGM will be held at the centre.

Lorraine said her members had expressed concern at finding they sometimes had to bowl back to back. Les advised that every endeavour was made to avoid this situation. He said that after publication of the draw, if members found themselves in this position, they should inform him immediately so that any changes can be made.

Dress Code. Lorraine noted that some members do not appear to be adhering to the dress code. She was advised that it is the delegate’s responsibility to ensure their members wear the correct attire.

Banking. Les said that in some cases this was not being done as he requires, because often it is not possible to identify who exactly has made the deposit. When doing banking, delegates should ensure that the teller keys in the correct reference number.
